RT throws party in conjunction with Police Day
Note from Eileen Thong, SS20 RT Chairman
"We were the first non police community to celebrate Police Day.
Others will emulate us, and did....
We have paved the way forward to a new era of comradeship, co-operation and smart partnership with the police based on true friendship and appreciation for each other.
A healthy trend.
Well done to residents & the Rukun Tetangga SS20 Damansara Utama, spearheaded by the dedicated Security Committees.
Well done too RT Gasing Indah.
Warm regards, Eileen Thong"

PETALING JAYA: The residents of SS20 honoured 30 policemen from the Damansara police station for their hard work on Police Day recently.
Seven of the policemen are assigned to the area's Community Policing Programme.
Two of the officers make the rounds in eight-hour shifts.
Their crime-fighting efforts were a major factor in SS20 receiving the second prize in the Best Neighbourhood Contest Petaling Jaya 2008/2009.
Sergeant Hamdan Mohd Ahsan said the residents were very supportive.
He said more than 20 of them would patrol the area twice a week.
There was a special muhibbah lion dance performed by Indians and a performance by the police canine unit.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Assistant Commissioner of Police Arjunaidi Mohamed attended the event and socialised with the residents throughout the night.
Eileen Lim Thong, chief coordinator of the SS20 Rukun Tetangga Community Policing Programme, said residents were grateful for the tremendous changes in the neighbourhood, thanks to the police.
