Community Update - 12 Aug 2010

The police told us to be wary of a well-dressed man driving a Nissan Sentra (gold or silver).
He goes around breaking into cars and he is an ex-locksmith.
Remember not to leave bags, computer notebooks or any valuables in your car.

The police also advised us to leave our porch lights and back lights on during the night so that any suspicious character lurking around our house will be easily seen by the police or our neighbours.

Next week, we will be discussing on how to spend the annual allocation from our councillor. Do drop by on Thursday night, 19 August 2010, 9 pm at the Central Zone padang to give your suggestions.

National Population Census

Malaysia population = 28,918,558

World population = 6,831,847,445

As you know, the national population census has begun. I saw a couple of enumerators conducting the exercise on Road 13 yesterday.

To protect yourself against any impostors, please take note of the following:

1. According to the Statistics Department, normally only 1 enumerator will visit a residence at a time.

2. If you are doubtful, ask for their tag/identification.

3. Still not convinced? Check with the Statistics Department hotline at 1-800-88-7828.

4. You are not obliged to allow the enumerators into your home.

5. The exercise can be conducted through the gate.

Security Update

There were no reports of crime for the past few weeks but residents noticed a Proton Waja parked in the open carpark in front of the Hospital for sometime. It looked abandoned. The police were informed and on investigation, it was found to be a stolen car.
