Dear fellow residents,

The consent survey over the proposal to keep only one entrance / exit (Road 13) open in Central Zone during the Raya holidays from 19 to 22 Sep 09 has produced the following results:

a. Total number of residential houses in central zone = 243.

b. Number of unoccupied houses = 11.

c. Number of houses covered by this survey = 232

d. Total number of "agree" response =120 ( 52%)

e. Total number of "disagree" response =1 ( > 1%)

f. Total number of no response =111 ( 47%)

Since the "agree" response is less than the minimum of 66%, the above proposal will not be implemented. Therefore, all 3 entrances / exits of central zone shall remain open as per present arrangement.

Please pass the word around to your neighbours who may not be in our emailing list.

Thank you all for participating in the survey. Do continue to maintain vigilence and good neighbourhood watch.

Best regards and Selamat Hari Raya.

From the Security Committee RT SS20 Central Zone.

  2. good suggestion by Calvin but next question raise would be who will be responsible for the closing and opening? maybe some resident staying around the gate can be the volunteers. worth to give it a thought.

  3. I guess in this case, the "silent almost majority" residents have won. I certainly hope that we can get better response in future.

  4. Will we be having more patrolling during that period?

  5. if there are sufficient volunteers, we can organised more patrolling during the period. we will decide next thursday night (17th September). hope the turn up and supporter is good.

pertaining to the survey, there are some resident feel that silent means consent. they suggested to include such clause in the future survey as well as post it to the blog. i think this is a good idea.
